Ceramic Ball, Tower Packing & Honeycomb Ceramic Manufacturer for Global Process Plants

Pingxiang Zhongtai Environmental Chemical Packing Co., Ltd. engineers and exports inert ceramic balls, ceramic, metal and plastic random packing, structured packing, RTO honeycomb ceramic, ceramic foam filters and molecular sieves. We are based in Pingxiang — China's best-known cluster for industrial ceramics and chemical packing — so raw materials, kilns and specialist labor sit within one supply radius, which keeps lead times short and quality consistent.

About Zhongtai

Two Decades of Making Media That Run Inside Real Towers

Founded in 2003, Pingxiang Zhongtai Environmental Chemical Packing Co., Ltd. grew from a ceramic packing workshop into a multi-material manufacturer and exporter. Our production base sits in the West Section Hi-Tech Industry Park of Pingxiang City, with our commercial office in the city's Economic Development Zone.

Every order is built to the buyer's process data rather than a catalog code, and every batch leaves with test records you can file with your plant's quality system.

How to Specify the Right Media Before You Order

Wrong media selection is the most common cause of premature bed failure, high pressure drop and catalyst contamination. Use these field-proven reference points to shortlist options.

Inert Ceramic Ball Grades by Alumina Content

Alumina content drives strength, temperature limit and silica leaching — the three factors that matter most under a catalyst bed.

GradeAl₂O₃Key PropertyTypical Application
Standard Inert17–23%Chemically stable, cost-efficientCatalyst bed support & hold-down in hydrotreaters, reformers
Medium Alumina23–30%Higher crush strengthHigher-pressure reactors, gas dryers, deep beds
High Alumina90–92%High hardness, low wearGrinding media, abrasive service
Super High Alumina≥99%Minimal silica leaching, high temperatureSteam reformers, secondary reformers, ammonia units
Industry-typical ranges. Exact composition, bulk density and crush strength for each batch are listed on our technical data sheet.

Random vs. Structured Packing at a Glance

Match geometry and material to your service, corrosivity and pressure-drop budget.

PackingMaterialStrengthBest For
Metal Pall RingSS304, SS316L, CSHigh capacity, good wettingDistillation, absorption, stripping
Metal Intalox SaddleSS304, SS316LLower ΔP than pall ringRefinery atmospheric & vacuum towers
Ceramic SaddleAcid-proof ceramicAcid & heat resistanceSulfuric acid, chlorine drying
Plastic Ring / SaddlePP, PE, PVC, PVDFLight, corrosion proofGas scrubbers, water degassing
Structured PackingSS304, SS316LLowest ΔP per stageVacuum distillation, revamps

Ceramic packing is not recommended for hydrofluoric acid or hot concentrated caustic; plastic resin limits depend on operating temperature.

Answers for Procurement & Process Engineers

Can't find your question? Our technical sales team replies in English with practical, specification-level answers.

Which alumina grade of inert ceramic ball should I choose for catalyst bed support?

Standard 17–23% Al₂O₃ inert balls suit most hydrotreating and reforming catalyst supports. Choose 23–30% for higher crush strength, and 99% alumina where high-temperature steam could cause silica leaching that would poison downstream catalysts.

What information do you need to recommend tower packing?

Please share the tower diameter and bed height, the service (distillation, absorption, stripping or scrubbing), the medium and its corrosivity, operating temperature and pressure, and any pressure-drop or capacity targets. Our engineers then propose packing type, material and size.

Can I receive samples and technical data sheets before ordering?

Yes. Samples of standard sizes and technical data sheets covering chemical composition, bulk density, crush strength and other key properties can be provided for evaluation before a production order.

How are ceramic and metal packing products packed for export?

Depending on product and volume, we use cartons, jumbo bags, plastic drums or wooden cases on fumigation-free or fumigated pallets, with clear marking for each size and batch to simplify site receiving.

Where is Zhongtai located and can buyers visit the factory?

We are based in Pingxiang, Jiangxi Province, a recognized Chinese hub for industrial ceramics and chemical packing. Buyers and third-party inspectors are welcome to visit; Korean customers audited our ceramic production in July 2018.
